To achieve sales and activity targets on designated territory and meet all relevant standards as set by Novo Nordisk and the Diabetes Sales Manager. The customer base for the sales representative will consist of GPs, Pharmacies and Practice Nurses in your given regions.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring the highest standard of diabetes products and therapy area knowledge to enable effective relationship building and selling to a range of customers at the appropriate level
  • Customer calling

  • Brand promotion through:
  • product & disease area presentations
  • virtual Detailing and webinars
  • exhibitions
  • managed meetings
  • Developing networks with prescribing and non-prescribing product influencers
  • Territory planning and reporting; effort analysis (sales: activity) and budget management including return on investment by account
  • Develop and maintain up to date customer database through use of CRM
  • Adhere to Novo Nordisk and IPHA code on organization of meetings
  • Liaising with team members including territory partner/marketing, medical and clinical to maximise the sales of Novo Nordisk diabetes products
  • Providing market environment feedback through monthly report - customers and competitors
  • Contributing to Regional business planning and the identification of regional/national business opportunities
  • Participating in and contributing effectively to accompanied working, regional meetings, national conferences and cross functional project groups for Novo Nordisk
  • Managing territory administration e.g. Expenses, Outlook, Monthly Reports etc.

OUTPUTS

  • Territory Sales Performance versus target
  • Call plan compliant as per KPI target
  • Balanced customer activity patterns as determined by the business plan
  • Customer awareness of product positioning and key benefits
  • Territory business plans, including managed costs and return on investment analysis

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Life science or health related degree preferred
  • MRII Qualification/Affiliation preferred
  • Pharmaceutical Sales Experience essential
  • Excellent selling and networking skills
  • Proven track record of sales performance and achievement of personal objectives
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of confidence, pro-activity and initiative
  • Motivated by work variety
  • Capable of creativity and innovation
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • High level of commitment to working independently within a field sales team
  • Full clean driving license (no greater than 3 points)
