Tim Webster

Chief Operating Officer

Tim began his career as a Nurse before joining the medical recruitment industry as a Consultant in 1994. He was very successful, becoming the highest billing consultant in the company’s history in only his second year. By 1997 Tim had become Recruitment Director and led the company from ‘relative unknown’ to ‘significant player’ status. Lucy O’Neill was Tim’s client, and in 2002 they founded Star. In 2015, Tim was recognised as one of Acquisition International’s ‘Most Innovative Leaders’.

As Chief Operating Officer Tim oversees Star’s support function; he leads the ongoing development of Star’s infrastructure, making sure it has the scale and sophistication to deliver a seamless service to Star’s clients. Tim’s also passionate about Star’s vision and values and plays a big role in motivating the team.

Lucy O’Neill

General Manager

Lucy joined Procter & Gamble Pharmaceutical’s ‘Management Development Programme’ in 1997 following her graduation from Sheffield University with a first class Business BA (Hons) degree. Lucy worked with Procter & Gamble for 5 years; she began her career as a sales representative before winning the National Sales Manager role in Ireland; here Lucy was responsible for sales, recruitment, training & development and marketing; she worked with Global to launch a major Osteoporosis campaign which achieved the highest market share globally. Recruitment Director Tim Webster was one of Lucy’s suppliers, and in 2002 she returned to the UK to found Star with Tim.

Lucy and the leadership team are responsible for strategic direction, new business development and customer focus. Lucy works closely with clients to understand their challenges then energises the management team to generate solutions. Lucy’s also passionate about personal development. While Lucy’s qualified in various personal insight and development techniques, her preferred tool is Insights Discovery. Lucy uses her knowledge to optimise Star’s own and our clients’ performance.

Padraic Dempsey

Managing Director, Uniphar's Manufacturer Services Division

Padraic is Managing Director of Uniphar Group’s ‘Manufacturer Services Division’; he leads the design and provision of supply chain, nurse, sales and resourcing services for over 100 medical companies in Ireland and the UK. Previous to this Padraic worked in numerous roles for UDG Healthcare across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the US. Padraic was Managing Director for the Aquilant Division, the specialist healthcare products and services division, which incorporated several outsourced services including sales, marketing, and distribution for medical devices and specialist pharmaceuticals.

Prior to UDG Healthcare, Padraic held several management positions for organisations including MSD, Fannin Healthcare and Nycomed.

Dave Faulkner

Director of Outsourcing

Dave’s medical sales career began with Pharmacia in 1992 after he graduated with a degree in Law.

After 5 years Dave moved to Bristol-Myers Squibb where he was employed in a national coaching role before moving to regional management. Next, Dave decided to diversify his knowledge, moving to Capita’s people development business as a Business Development Manager.

In 2002 Dave joined In2Focus; here he successfully led sales teams and won employee of the year in 2004. Following In2Focus’s merger with Ashfield, Dave became General Manager for the Irish business and latterly Business Unit Director in the UK.

Now Star’s Director of Outsourcing, Dave develops and delivers new generation outsourcing solutions for Star’s clients.

David Bournes

Business Development Director

David joined the pharma industry in 1990.

He spent 10 years in second line management with MSD before moving to an international healthcare services organisation; there he managed dedicated and syndicated teams in a variety of senior sales and management roles including Head of Operations.

David joined Star in 2015; as a Business Development Director, he works in partnership with Star’s clients to develop and integrate new generation outsourced solutions.

Business Development Director Ryan joined the industry in 2003 and has since gathered extensive experience in senior sales, operations and business development roles across pharma, healthcare provision and commercial services.

Ryan’s passionate about partnering with clients to define challenges and opportunities before crafting pragmatic, outsourced solutions that combine innovation with proven methodology to deliver commercial success.

Michelle Bonner

Human Resources Director

Michelle spent her early career with Intel and Lidl in HR and retail management following her graduation from the University of Limerick with a degree in Business & HR. She worked with large multinationals before spending a year in Australia with Suncorp; in 2008 Michelle returned to Ireland and joined Uniphar Group as HR Generalist.

Now Uniphar’s HR Director, Michelle has overseen a number of major initiatives including the implementation of SAP and a large integration following Uniphar’s acquisition of Cahill May Roberts.  Michelle and her colleagues work hard to ensure that Star people have the support and motivation they need to deliver exceptional customer experience.
